Our arrival in Columbus, GA resulted by hundreds of small forks in the road that ultimately led to The Goetchius House.

 Columbus might not always be the first city that comes to mind when you think of Georgia, but it should be. This city offers the perfect mix of outdoor adventure, history, and hospitality, making it a fantastic place to visit or call home.

 July 11, 2024.  Iconic Property in Columbus Historic District.  The Goetchius House is much more than a restaurant, it has been a community gathering place for more than 100 years.

 An Evening at The Goetchius House.  My wife and I finally had the pleasure of celebrating Valentine’s Day at the beautiful Goetchius House, an experience which not only met, but exceeded our expectations —and completely changed my perception of dining forever. 

One of the oldest homes in Columbus is reopening as a restaurant.  The Goetchius House (pronounced GET-chee-us), circa 1839, was saved from demolition in 1969 by John Woodruff Jr., a founding member of the Columbus Historical Society.

December 1, 2024.  Endura came to the rescue when a couple in Columbus, Georgia was faced with an “absurd” cost to install a traditional gravity-fed concrete interceptor in a historic property they have restored.  Endura’s technical and customer service teams stepped up when local water officials had to be convinced the lightweight hydromechanical system would work.

Every once in a while someone comes into your life and completely changes your heart.  When Renata Martoni and Matthew Lapides came to Columbus for their son’s military graduation years ago, they fell in love with the small but mighty city – so much so that they decided to make it their forever home. And we are so grateful for it.
